Wisconsin Moves Down 7 Spots to #18 in AP Poll: Jan 2nd, 2012

Kansas State enters the AP Top 25 at #23 this week and is one of two new teams in the poll. Wisconsin lost the most ground this week, falling seven spots to #18.

Syracuse holds steady at the top for the third week in a row. Kansas State enters the Top 25 with a win at home over Howard, 82-46. Gonzaga comes in at #25 with wins against Xavier, 72-65 and Portland, 90-51. Creighton drops out of the Top 25 this week with an upset loss at home to Missouri State, 77-65 and a win at Wichita State, 68-61. Pittsburgh drops out after losses to Cincinnati, 66-63 and Notre Dame, 72-59.

Wisconsin is a big mover this week, plummeting seven spots to #18 after a win at Nebraska, 64-40 and an upset loss at home to Iowa, 72-65. Louisville tanked seven spots to #11 after losses to then-3rd ranked Kentucky, 69-62 and then-12th ranked Georgetown, 71-68. Marquette slipped 6 spots to #20 after a win against Villanova, 81-77 and a loss to Vanderbilt, 74-57.
