StatSheet projects Detroit to make the NIT as a seven seed. The Titans are #76 in the StatSheet StatRank with a 15-8 overall record and a 7-3 record in the Horizon.

Over the last four games, Detroit was solid in wins against Youngstown State, Wright State, and Loyola (Chicago) but also stumbled with a bad loss to RPI #158 Wright State.

Detroit has a 2-5 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes an 0-2 record against the RPI Top 50 and AP Top 25. While the Titans have no quality wins, they're weighed down by three bad losses including RPI #158 Wright State, RPI #207 Cleveland State, and RPI #298 Bowling Green.

The last four teams into the NCAA Tournament with at-large bids are Indiana State (14-7, 7-3 Missouri Valley, StatRank #36), Villanova (13-8, 4-4 Big East, StatRank #54), Brigham Young (17-6, 7-2 West Coast, StatRank #40), and Arizona State (17-4, 6-2 Pac 12, StatRank #60).

The first four teams out are Alabama (13-7, 5-2 SEC, StatRank #67), Maryland (15-6, 3-5 ACC, StatRank #69), Memphis (17-3, 6-0 C-USA, StatRank #45), and Rutgers (12-8, 3-6 Big East, StatRank #66).
