On January 27th at home, the Titans beat the Flames in Horizon play, 70-66.

Ray McCallum put up the most points against the Flames with 26 on 81% shooting from the floor in 39 minutes.

The Titans played a decent game, although the final score was a little closer than expected. Detroit had an advantage in RPI ranking (#219 to #300). The Titans played the Flames earlier this season, and lost that game 63-59.

Detroit was able to overwhelm UIC in defensive rebounding and also win the battle in assists.


Detroit used a big advantage on the boards to win the possession battle with 23 defensive rebounds to 15 for UIC. Detroit beat UIC with assists, 13 to 10, and facilitated more balanced scoring.
