Alec Brown from Green Bay has won StatSheet's Horizon Player of the Week for January 28th. Bryn Forbes from Cleveland State has won StatSheet Horizon Freshman of the Week. Also, Green Bay's Brennan Cougill has won StatSheet's Horizon 6th Man of the Week.

Brown topped the Horizon in scoring (20.5 pts per game). He also tallied respectable numbers with 50% shooting and 7 rebounds per game. The Green Bay junior played well for the Phoenix in a victory against Milwaukee and a loss to Valparaiso.

Brown led all scoring for the Phoenix with 18 points while adding 2 blocked shots in a 73-61 loss to Valparaiso. He then led all scoring and rebounding with a 23 point and 8 rebound performance in a huge 74-54 win against Milwaukee.

This is the first StatSheet Horizon Player of the Week honor for Alec Brown. However, he has been a runner-up once. The runner-up this week is Green Bay sophomore Keifer Sykes. Honorable mention goes to senior Ryan Broekhoff from Valparaiso. Ray McCallum, who finished 11th, was the highest ranking player from Detroit.

StatSheet Horizon Freshman of the Week: Cleveland State's Bryn Forbes

Bryn Forbes played an average of 37 minutes as a starter for Cleveland State. He bested all Horizon freshmen in scoring (20.5 pts per game), three pointers (3.0 per game), and free throws (3.5 per game). In a 67-55 loss to Loyola (Chicago), Forbes led all scoring for the Vikings with 22 points and all rebounding with 5. Then in a 73-59 loss to Youngstown State, he led scoring with 19 points and rebounding with 7.

This is a repeat honor for Bryn Forbes, making it the second time he has won StatSheet Horizon Freshman of the Week. The runner-up is Jordan Fouse from Green Bay. J.J. Panoske from Milwaukee takes honorable mention.

StatSheet Horizon 6th Man of the Week: Green Bay's Brennan Cougill

Senior Brennan Cougill, a 6-9 forward/center, played an average of 24 minutes over the two games for the Phoenix. In the loss to Valparaiso, Cougill got 7 rebounds and 57% shooting. During the win against Milwaukee, he racked up 12 points and 6 rebounds.

This is Brennan Cougill's second StatSheet Horizon 6th Man of the Week award this season. Will Simonton, a sophomore center from UIC, is runner up. Bobby Capobianco, a senior forward from Valparaiso, earns honorable mention. Detroit players have been named StatSheet Horizon Player of the Week once this season.
