Youngstown State's Kendrick Perry has been selected as the StatSheet Horizon Player of the Week for the week ending January 23rd. StatSheet's Horizon Freshman of the Week goes to Anton Grady from Cleveland State. And finally, Evan Bruinsma is the StatSheet Horizon 6th Man of the Week. Perry put up respectable numbers with 4.5 rebounds per game, 50% shooting, and 12 points per game. The Youngstown State sophomore played well in victories versus Milwaukee and Green Bay.

Perry posted 6 rebounds and 4 assists in 30 minutes in a close 68-66 win against Milwaukee. He followed that up with 15 points and 6 assists in a huge 77-47 victory over Green Bay.

This is the first time this season that Kendrick Perry has been named StatSheet Horizon Player of the Week. The runner-up this week is Youngstown State senior Ashen Ward. Honorable mention goes to Tim Kamczyc, a junior from Cleveland State. The highest ranking player from Detroit was Chase Simon who finished eighth.

StatSheet Horizon Freshman of the Week: Cleveland State's Anton Grady

Anton Grady averaged 19 minutes of playing time starting both games for Cleveland State. He led all Horizon freshmen in both scoring (11.0 pts per game) and rebounding (8.0 per game). In a 78-68 win over Green Bay, Grady tallied 10 points and 13 rebounds. Against Milwaukee, in a massive 83-57 win, he added 12 points and 3 rebounds.

Amazingly, Anton Grady has won the StatSheet Horizon Freshman of the Week 3 times. The runner-up is Roosevelt Jones from Butler. Marc Brown from UIC receives honorable mention.

StatSheet Horizon 6th Man of the Week: Detroit's Evan Bruinsma

Evan Bruinsma, a sophomore and a 6-8 forward, played 14 minutes during a single game for the Titans. In a 69-53 win against Wright State, Bruinsma put up 10 points and 2 blocked shots.

This is the first time this season that Evan Bruinsma has won the StatSheet Horizon 6th Man of the Week. Our own Eli Holman is the runner up. AJ Pacher, a sophomore forward from Wright State, receives honorable mention. Detroit has yet to win StatSheet Horizon Player of the Week.
